Founded in 2016, Medtel started with a customized solution for NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital to streamline surgical care coordination. Leveraging our team’s extensive experience in clinical, operational, and leadership roles, we refined our platform for a full commercial launch in 2022.

Meet The Team

Harold Mondschein

CEO
Harold Mondschein has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the healthcare sector, including direct patient care, sales, and consulting for health systems and manufacturers. Prior to Medtel, Mr. Mondschein was a Managing Partner at Proficient Surgical Equipment, a leading medical device distribution company specializing in innovative technologies in surgical care. Harold’s clinical experience includes working as a neurological specialist in physical therapy at NYU Medical Center and then later successfully launching a state-of-the-art neurosurgery rehabilitation program at Beth Israel Medical Center’s Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Anthony J Tedeschi, MD, MPH, MBA

COO & CMO
A senior-level physician executive with more than 25 years of operational and clinical healthcare experience, Tony retired in January 2020 as CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s Detroit Market. Dr. Tedeschi’s background includes starting a clinical practice in a rural community, serving as interim co-CEO and hospital president for a large suburban integrated-delivery system, serving as interim COO of Chicago’s Cook County Health & Hospitals System, and leading organizational performance improvement as the COO and CMO of two urban, safety-net hospitals. Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Tedeschi holds a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and master’s degrees in business administration from Northwestern University and public health from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Carol Mondschein, OTR

SVP, Clinical Operations
Carol’s experience spans the healthcare and technology industries, as well as developing and growing start-up and non-profit organizations. Carol is a pioneer of the internet and new media communications industries and has over 20 years of experience as a healthcare clinician. Carol is responsible for project management, product development, and customer care.  As part of the Medtel Care Team, Carol is dedicated to ensuring a positive user experience based on extensive workflow analysis and by listening to our client’s needs.

Jessa Camacho, MPH

SVP, Clinical Operations
Jessa opens the line of communication between clients and the Medtel team to get projects done and establish a record of customer success. Her experience spans project management, implementation, workflow analysis, and product development. At Medtel, Jessa is focused on providing an exceptional customer experience from implementation to Go-Live and beyond. Her goal is to find opportunities to strengthen the nexus between technology and healthcare, with a focus on improving patient outcomes, streamlining surgical workflows, and eliminating inefficiencies. Jessa holds a master’s degree in Public Health from New York University.

Matthew Mannino

CCO
Matt has established a strong record as a commercial leader in start-up medical sales companies with over 20 years of experience in healthcare sales, serving in a variety of senior leadership roles. Most recently, Matt served as a consultant to help life sciences companies improve their sales force effectiveness, leading numerous global sales training initiatives. Prior to that, Matt served as the Vice President of US Sales for Aerocrine, a publicly traded medical device company, and National Sales Director for Phadia, a specialty diagnostics company.
